TEACHINGOn the 91st Psalm
We've been talking about the 91st Psalm and we're concluding this Psalm. This is a psalm of protection. It's one that every member of the armed forces ought to start memorizing and saying. But at the conclusion of this psalm, where God has told the people, "If you dwell in the secret place of the Most High, you'll abide out of the shadow of the Almighty," there are a group of "I wills" that God says. And I want to share these with you. It starts with Psalm 91:14. And I want to show you all the "I wills" of God. He says, number one, "I will rescue." Next, He says, "I will protect." Next, He says, "I will answer." Next, He says, "I will be with him in trouble." Next, He says, "I will rescue them." Next, He says, "I will honor them." Next, He says, "I will satisfy them with long life and show them My salvation." Now you can't ask for any better promises than this. This is what God says He will do to "those who dwell in the secret place of the Most High, because you have made the Lord my God your refuge. Therefore, He will deliver you." And this is the promise of Almighty God. Let me show you those again: He says, "I will rescue. You got problems? I will rescue." He says, "I am going to protect you." He says, "I will answer you. You call and ask in prayer, I'll answer you. I will be with him in trouble. I will rescue them." He says that a second time. He says, "I will honor them. I will satisfy them with long life and show them My salvation." God is opening up things that we all want so much in our heart. And the secret of it is to move into God, to dwell in the secret place of the Most High, to make Him our refuge and to let Him know that we're counting on His protection. So when we pray for our loved ones, when we think of these brave men and women. We are going to be praying for them, that God Almighty will be their covering, their shield, their protection, and they will dwell under the shadow of the Almighty. |
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
