Pat Robertson Comments on the Passing of Rex Humbard

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., September 24, 2007-- I am grieved at the death of my dear friend, Rex Humbard.  Rex and his wife, Maude Aimee, were humble, unpretentious people who became the leading pioneers of television ministry.  Not only did Rex broadcast from the Cathedral of Tomorrow all over the United States, but to nations and cultures all over the world.  His appearance in Brazil was so popular that the President of Brazil authorized him to “address the nation.”

I was privileged to be with Rex several months ago for a brief time at the dedication of the Inspiration Network’s new broadcast facility near Charlotte, North Carolina and for that I am quite grateful.

A great man has fallen, and we share the grief of his wife and family.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
—Philippians 4:13
