VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., July 1, 2005 — Justice O’Connor has been the swing vote on countless Supreme Court cases -- some of which were applauded by conservatives and some of which were not. Her recent dissent in the Connecticut eminent domain case was brilliantly crafted. In 2000, she joined the majority of the court which confirmed the election in Florida for George W. Bush.

I hope that President Bush will appoint another woman jurist with brilliance and impeccable credentials who shares his judicial philosophy of strict construction of the United States Constitution.
