Cross of Nails Award Presented for the First Time in the US in 25 yrs

Virginia Beach, Va. -- Canon Andrew White, Director of International Ministry for the Cathedral and Diocese of Coventry will be presenting Dr. Pat Robertson, Founder and Chairman of The Flying Hospital, Inc., the ¡°Cross of Nails¡± award for his vision, inspiration, and humanitarian work with The Flying Hospital. The pre-taped presentation will be Wednesday, March 8 airing on The 700 Club (Fox Family Channel) at 10 a.m.


The Flying Hospital, Inc.¡¯s mission is to provide free life-changing surgical and medical care.

¡°Our presentations are made to individuals or organizations in recognition for their outstanding work in international reconciliation or as a sign of solidarity with a people going through a time of suffering,¡± says Canon Andrew White.

This award is being presented to Dr. Robertson because of The Flying Hospital¡¯s mission to medically help individuals in need. To date, The Flying Hospital medical volunteers have traveled to 22 countries providing over 80,000 medical services to patients, including more than 3,000 surgeries both on The Flying Hospital and in local partnering hospitals.

Dr. Pat Robertson envisioned The Flying Hospital in 1994 as a way to provide medical assistance to those who needed it most.
